What to expect

A safe, confidential place to begin

A warm, softly lit consulting room at Zuri Psychiatric Health

At Zuri Psychiatric Health we strongly believe in establishing therapeutic and authentic relationships with our patients by providing a safe, confidential and reliable environment.

The bulk of our practice focuses on psychiatric medication management. Research shows that the combination of psychiatric therapy and medication management is often more effective, so we provide brief therapy sessions and work collaboratively with other therapists who provide supportive counseling.

We understand that all patients are different. We provide individualized care while helping our patients regain and maintain healthy minds.

More about the practice

Our Focus Areas

Care Shaped Around You

Initial appointments are 60 minutes and follow-ups are 30 minutes, available in person or by telehealth. Patients must be 18 or older.

Anxiety Disorders

Panic disorder · Obsessive-compulsive disorder

Persistent worry, panic attacks and intrusive thoughts are treatable. We assess what you are experiencing and build a medication plan alongside brief therapy so that daily life feels manageable again.

Attention Deficit Disorders

ADHD · ADD in adults

Difficulty with focus, follow-through and organisation is common and often missed in adults. We assess carefully and discuss both medication and practical strategies that fit your life.

Depressive Disorders

Major depression · Persistent low mood

Low mood, exhaustion and loss of interest can make even small things feel heavy. We look at the whole picture — sleep, energy, history and what you have already tried — before recommending treatment.

Mood Disorders

Mood instability and related conditions

When mood swings between extremes, or sits somewhere that does not feel like you, an accurate diagnosis is the first step. We take time to get that right.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD · Trauma-related symptoms

Flashbacks, hypervigilance and avoidance after a traumatic event deserve careful, unhurried care. We work at your pace and coordinate with trauma therapists where that supports your recovery.

Getting started

Three steps, starting with one phone call

  1. Call the office

All future patients are asked to call the office on (781) 365-8936 for intake. This is done over the phone and takes less than 10 minutes.

  2. Your first appointment

A 60-minute session, in person or by video. We focus on getting to know you and understanding your needs — there is no rush.

  3. An ongoing plan

Follow-ups are 30 minutes. We adjust as we go, and coordinate with your therapist or primary care provider where that helps.

What a telehealth visit looks like

  • Join from your home in MA or NH

Telehealth

Mental health treatment can be beneficial to people who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection to themselves, seek guidance, or those who just need a place to express their concerns.
